25 - CARPINTARIAS, PINTURAS E JARDINAGEM

Eis que esta epopeia se aproxima de um final (que tudo indica vir a ser feliz). Mas, como diz o sábio povo, até à lavagem dos cestos ainda é vindima, apresentemos então os frutos colhidos mais recentemente:

- As carpintarias, que em grande parte caracterizam a imagem final dos interiores (e exterior) da moradia, têm vindo a ser implementadas, pela carpintaria do Rómulo, atencioso profissional da transformação da madeira, acompanhado pelo seu esmerado (mas quase sempre mal disposto :) colaborador - Sr. Manuel.

Desde os guarda-fatos dos quartos passando pelos rodapés, apainelados e passamãos, até ao grande móvel em carvalho de apoio à sala (que se prolonga para o exterior através de uma treliça de madeira - aqui em Cumarú, por razões de durabilidade à intempérie, à imagem do deck exterior), até aos móveis da cozinha e aos amplos armários da cave, o trabalho é extenso e minucioso, pelo que deixamos o tempo trazer paulatinamente os resultados, acompanhando e ajustando as soluções preconizadas às condições em obra.

Basicamente utilizam-se duas expressões de acabamento: a madeira em carvalho, maciço ou em folha desenrolada, a casar, e a pintura a tinta de esmalte branca (RAL 9010), para o restante. A primeira prolonga o soalho em carvalho para algumas superfícies verticais, através das escadas e degraus existentes; a segunda, aplica-se em todas as superfícies onde se pretende mais "tranquilidade", menos contraste e boa superfície para reflexão de luz.
Paralelamente, os pintores avançaram com o emassamento e lixagem de superfícies para aplicação das tintas de paredes e tectos.

- O jardineiro entrou também em obra, trazendo a camada de terra vegetal para arrelvamento e plantação da flora escolhida.

Esta é constituída por um limoeiro e roseiras de Santa Teresinha, que crescerão pela treliça de Cumarú à vontade delas; Bouganvilleas, alfazemas e morangos silvestres na cobertura dos arrumos. Aqui, pretende-se que as Bouganvilleas também sejam prósperas no seu crescimento pela empena dos vizinhos, para que a Carla e o Alexandre tenham um amanhecer mais agradável ao abrirem a cortina, acordados pelos passarinhos que lhes agradecerão os morangos silvestres com o seu chilrear madrugador.

- Escolhemos a pedra para a bancada e lambrim da cozinha - o portuguesíssimo mármore de Estremoz - com a sua expressão característica em tons de ferro e rosa sobre branco, que esperamos virem a jogar bem com as madeiras.

- O electricista anda a aplicar os aparelhos Berker e alguns projectores exteriores, pelo que também se considera em finalizações.

- Também chegou a bom porto a saga do marmorite cimentoso. Após sucessivas tentativas para pôr "marmoriteiros" em obra, gente que aparentemente vive do dia-a-dia e só gosta de obras lisas de 100m2 para cima... quando as tem. Nós lá arranjamos um artista - sr. José - que deu o seu melhor para revestir os 3 quartos de banho, banheira e balcões incluidos. Só falta a cera impremeabilizadora.

Assim podemos aplicar agora as peças sanitárias e as torneiras. Aguarda-se a chegada do Estremoz para a coisa começar a ficar pronta.

O cliente está contente e as filhotas - Filipa e Sofia - já fizeram o test-drive à casa...

Passou.

25 - CARPENTRIES, PAINTINGS AND GARDENING
Behold, this saga approaches an end (which seems likely to be a happy one).

But before the fireworks crack let's display the most recent accomplishments:

- The woodwork, which largely characterize the final image of the interior (and exterior) of the house, have been implemented by the carpenter Rómulo, caring woodworking professional, accompanied by his neat (but barely always in a bad mood :) employee - Sr. Manuel.

From the wardrobe of the rooms past the footers, paneling and railings, moving to the great oak cabinet of the living room (which extends to the outside through a wooden trellis - Cumarú wood here for reasons of durability to weathering, as the outdoor deck), to the mobile kitchen cabinets and the large ones in the basement, the work is extensive and thorough, so we left time bring results gradually, following the defined solutions and adjusting to conditions on site.Basically two expressions are used for finishing: oak wood, solid or unwound veneers, and painting in white enamel (RAL 9010), for the rest. The first extends the oak floor onto some vertical surfaces, using the existing stairs and steps, the second applies to all surfaces where you want a more "quiet", less contrasty and good surface for light reflection.

- Meanwhile, painters advanced barring/ sanding surfaces for aftermost painting of walls and ceilings.

- The gardener also came into work, bringing the layer of topsoil for grassing and planting of selected flora.This consists of a lemon tree and rose bushes of St. Therese, which will grow through the Cumarú lattice to their will, Bouganvillea, lavender and wild strawberries on the roof of the den. Here, it is intended that the Bougainvillea are also successful in its growth by the gables of the neighbors so that Carla and Alexander have a pleasant morning when they open the curtain, agreed that the birds will thank them wild strawberries with their early bird chirping.

- We chose the stone for kitchen countertops and paneling - the very portuguese Estremoz marble - with its characteristic expression in iron and pink shades over white, which we hope to play well with the woods.

- The electrician is applying the Berker devices and some projectors outside, so it is also considered in finishing.

- Also came to happy ending the saga of the marble mortar (marmorite). After repeated attempts to put "marmoriteiros" at work, people who apparently live day-to-day and works just accept to work from 100m2 up ... when they have them, we arranged an artist - Mr. Jose - who did his best to put up the 3 bathrooms, tub and counters included. All that's missing is the finishing wax.

So now we can apply the sanitary ware and taps.

After the arrival of Estremoz stone this starts getting ready.
The client is happy and their two little ones did the "test-drive" to the house... approved.
